What services are there that will give you money from settlements in advance?
Q. I am expecting a large settlement in about 3 months time. I have heard of services that are capable of giving you a portion of that money early and when you have recieved your money, you may them back. Does anyone have any idea what some of these services may be?

A. What you seem like you have is probably a "Structured Settlement" that you want to turn to cash. Many lawfirms ect do these. Odviously its in their best interest and they make money, but sometimes its worth it to get your money earlier, especially if your settlement is paid over time or an annuity. Here is one place that does it. I dont know them I just Googled Structured Settlements. This should get you started. Do you homework and get at least 3-7 bids on what they will offer you. Make sure you have a financial planner, a tax attorney, an accountant, and an investment attorney look at what you are doing. Spending a couple hundered dollars might save you 1,000s Good luck.

How can I contract structural engineering services for a sculpture online and inexpensively?
Q. I need to have the strength of a bent piece of sheet metal analyzed to see the maximum load it can support given some gauge of stainless steel. I would also like some process engineering services to determine the best way to assemble the final sculpture. I would like to know the best and most economical way to contract these services online.

A. Go here to search the various structural engineering firms:- https://online.acec.org/a cecforum/acecLogin.asp They ain't cheap! Some sculptors have hired firms like these, but you need a wealthy sponsor such as the City of New York or whomever. Or you could get yourself a copy of Solid Works and do your own analysis. Or you could build a test piece and measure the failure load yourself. Sculptors and civil engineers are not generally a happy mix. You will have your work cut out for you, as all sculptors do. A. I recommend visiting scrapbooking forums and posting your services on their sites, if the forum rules allow it. Alternatively, do you have a website? There are many hosting companies that can help you create a website even with average computer experience. Alternatively, have you considered attending your community fairs this spring and summer to have a booth? You might contact your local city government and find out if you can teach a class for free on scrapbooking how-to's for the community rec center. Go to senior centers, church groups, and volunteer to teach them. You'll have a chance to introduce yourself and tastefully tell them you offer these services.
