Help on Wii Hacks 4.2U?
Q. I followed this guide up to part B, and then I became stuck: The only reason I decided to do so is because my brawl disk recently broke and so I wanted to use a new copy. However, after struggling, I decided not to. Did anything before part B permenately change my wii's software? I hope not :( Now, I'm considering buying a legitimate copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I'm afraid that when I load it to into the disk channel, I will have to update (I'm 4.2U). Is it possible to load the game through Gecko OS and just start the game (without any modifications) without updating? I want to avoid using things like priiloader because I'm currently confused. Please note, I no longer want to make back-ups, I want to be able to buy a real copy… [cont.]

A. You barely did anything. . . all you did was literally install the Homebrew Channel - you didn't change anything on the Wii and what you did barely qualifies as hacking - so there's nothing to worry about. You can buy a legit copy of Mario Galaxy 2 and update just fine. ***Even if you DID hack your wii entirely, you could still update and not brick...people are bricking their wii a lot LESS often now (just like the 360 is getting the RRoD a lot less often now) but that scare has already been locked into the population that everyone thinks they will brick if they update. . . you won't - you will just simply loss all your hacks.*** If you have more questions, you should ask on Wiihacks where there are many more people who are willing and… [cont.]

Can someone help with my Wii Softmod?
Q. Hi, I have been having some trouble soft modding my Nintendo Wii. Its firmware is 4.2U. I have been using this guide: Anyway, the first time I did it, it worked fine, but got stuck later. Now when I try installing the homebrew channel, it says failed the first time I try, then it works the second, BUT, it freezes on the "succeeded" screen. Same with DVDX and BootMii Installs. It never did this before.. If someone can point me to a good guide for soft modding 4.2u firmware wii, that would be great. GoldXD, is it ok if it keeps having that problem when installing the Homebrew Channel? The first time when I confirm, if says "error 2 haxx" or something like that... A. thats the best guide out there delete everything from you wii thats related to homebrew, format your SD card and start over (backup everything onto you computer first if you have games saved on your SD card) read everything twice

The battery power on my iPod Mini keeps going and it's generally going crazy! Help!?
Q. Hi, I've had my iPod Mini on charge for 24 hours now, I just went and unplugged it because I wanted to listen to some music [obviously] and it said 'charged' on the screen. So, I went to play some music and I put on 'A Moment Like This' and it automatically skipped to the next song by Nerina Pallot. I thought this was a bit odd and I vaguely remember it doing this before and I never sorted the problem out - which I admit, was irresponsible of me. Then, about 15 seconds later, a message popped up on the screen: 'No battery power remains, please connect to a power supply,' (or something along those lines). What is going on with my iPod, I've had it for 2 years and it hasn't really been used to it's full potential. I've got about 110 songs… [cont.]
